“Jones 2.0 is a breath of fresh air for me as a DJ and Radio presenter. With his unapologetic beats and unique rhyming style, the sky’s the limit for this young talent.”

- BBC 1xtra

“Boasting an infectious collection of feel good material, Jones 2.0 is everything the Alternative Hip Hop doctor ordered, fusing Pop, Rap and unfiltered honesty to create a sound that leaves us no choice but to hail him one of the UK's fasting rising lyricists. Believe the hype!”

Jones 2.0 is taking hold of 2014 and beginning to make his presence felt in the UK music industry by dropping a video teaser for his much-anticipated track ‘Out Of My League’, featuring vocalist J Sol.

Taken from the hugely successful The Go Between EP, which has already racked up over 25, 000 downloads, ‘Out Of My League’ hears Jones 2.0 grapple with his honest thoughts and emotions, as he lusts after an unattainable female.

Confidently rapping over an electro-pop infused beat produced by Funkii Papa, who has worked on remixes for Wiley and Emeli Sandé, the London-hailing star manages to blend his unique rhyming style with a distinctive sound that is both refreshing and infectious.

Almost ready to unleash the alluring visual for ‘Out Of My League’ on his fans, Jones 2.0 is first building anticipation by dropping a 28 second teaser clip, giving us a feel for what’s to come.

About Jones 2.0:

With his witty lyricism and creative flair, Jones 2.0 is a welcome addition to the UK music scene. His tracks are an exciting mix of dubstep, grime and rap, teamed with melodic samples, which are each bound together by a distinct love for his hometown of London. Jones 2.0’s catalogue thus far proves that he is unafraid to think outside the box and has a great deal of potential. Refusing to restrict himself to one craft, he has also turned his expertise to writing and producing short films and dabbled in modelling too. With plans to perform at some of the country’s top festivals this year and a fun vibe that is sure to appeal to a wide range of music lovers, Jones 2.0 is aiming high and trying to re-define the typical ‘UK Urban’ sound.

ThisisDA - Unstoppable

ThisisDA - Unstoppable

Continuing his brief interlude from Super Arkane singles before its release next month, Bristol-based rapper ThisisDA unleashes a new loose track entitled 'Unstoppable'.

Keeping things short and sweet, the Ecstra Kool-produced cut lasts barely over a minute and a half, but utilises the time to share a story that is not often shared in hip-hop: "It's coming from the unexplored perspective of a male talking on his experiences of his alcoholic girlfriend," explains ThisisDA"We hear about females being the emotional victims, all too often, but it's interesting to hear what this is like on the flipside."

"I'm teetotal myself, so it's unlikely that you'll ever hear any champagne anthems ringing out of one of my studio sessions," he went on to share. "So I guess the concept only makes sense."

Despite the deep storytelling of the track, it was actually formed via a freestyle session without a structure or direction to begin with, the story almost evolving as a by-product.

Having recently been supported by the likes of Noisey, The Needle Drop, EarMilk, SB.TV, BBC, Mechanical Dummy and many others, ThisisDA is definitely a one to watch for 2014, and this is to be consolidated with his impressive debut album Super Arkane - a collaboration with Manchester-based producer Mankub - which is set to drop next month.
